The big day -- v0.3 available!

New advancements to the development of UFC have been made. The third and last version of the game is now available! Click here to go to the download page. The changelog is as follows:

(+) Networking
    (→) Fixed various inconsistencies in the networking.

(+) User Interface
    (→) Added the options menu (contains a volume slider).
    (→) Added the pause menu.
    (→) Added the lobby menu, where players can create or join a match.

(+) Sound and music
    (→) Added a new music track that plays in the lobby menu.

(+) Players
    (→) The characters are now animated and fully modeled / textured.
        (→) Punch animation
        (→) Kick animation
        (→) Die animation
        (→) Idle animation
        (→) Sidestep animation
    (→) The fighters can now do the protection move.
        (→) Reduces damage taken, but player is immobilized.
(→) The fighters can now perform combos.
        (→) K - K - M (punch, punch, fire) throws an ice ball.
        (→) D - A - V : strength up (next 5 attacks powered up)
        (→) C - H - A : jump up (triple jump enabled)
        (→) P - H - I : speed up (more speed for a short distance)
    (→) The fire balls now produce beautiful particles.

Newsletter 6 -- New moves, new map

Charlie has made some major advancement regarding gameplay mechanics, which we plan to finalize very soon. Just wait until you can check out the sick combos that are now in the game (coming soon).

In other news, David has made a new background for the new map. The map is called Git Poule (a nice play on words in French), so he decided to go for a shell-esque environment, with some nice ascii-art. The map is now chosen randomly at the start of the match. You can take a look at the new map in the image below.

Newsletter 5 -- New character and animations!

Philippe has made a new character model along with animations. You can take a look at it in the gif below. Do not get too close, or you might get punched!

If you look closely, you might notice that the background has changed too... More on that later.

        (→) Each action from a fighter reduces their stamina.
        (→) The stamina bar slowly refills over time.
    (→) The fighters can now dash forward (or backward).
    (→) The fighters can now throw fire balls!

Philippe has also started working on 3D models for the main characters, but they're not quite ready yet. To help you wait, here is a screenshot.

The game now has a logo. Made with love.

David has made a beautiful background image for the main menu. Take a look at it! It's so beautiful. The source image is a photograph of an old American restaurant chain called Burger Chef. We edited it to remove any trademarked names.
